Blanco (Spanish: "white", BLANG-koh) is a city in rural Blanco County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,739 at the 2010 census. Blanco is a cattle and ranching community.== Geography == Blanco is located in the Texas Hill Country on the Blanco River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.2 square miles (8.4 km2), of which 3.2 square miles (8.3 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 1.99%, is water.=== Climate ===== Demographics ===== 2020 census === As of the 2020 United States census, there were 1,682 people, 978 households, and 530 families residing in the city.=== 2000 census === As of the census of 2000, there were 1,701 people, 576 households, and 370 families residing in the city.
